Training guides from head camera footage

Film a job once and get a training guide your crew can follow.

Put a head camera on your best tradesperson for one job. Ynteract turns the footage into a step-by-step guide with photos and clips, so the next hire can do the job the same way. You do not write or edit anything.

How it works

You film one job and we send back the guide within the week.

01

You film

Your most experienced person wears a small head camera while doing a job the normal way. They do not need to narrate or stop for the camera.

02

We read the footage

The system watches every three seconds of video and writes down what the hands did, what they touched, and what changed. Then it groups those moments into steps.

03

You get the guide

An illustrated step-by-step document with a photo and a clip for every step, plus a film of the whole job with the steps labelled on screen, within the week.

A real example

Three seconds of a plumbing job, and the step it became.

Drag the divider to see what the system sees. Nothing here is mocked up: the frame, the record it wrote, and the finished step all come from the same three seconds.

Raw head camera frame: two hands opening a bag of new toilet parts over the tank The same frame with machine annotations: tracked boxes on both hands and the extracted record fields
{  "verb": "open",  "noun": "parts",  "start": 810.9,  "end": 813.9,  "hands": {    "left": "holds the plastic bag",    "right": "pulls the bag open"  },  "contact": ["hand-parts"],  "state_change": {    "object": "parts",    "before": "sealed",    "after": "open"  },  "confidence": 0.9}
Step keyframe: the toilet tank on the floor with the new siphon parts staged beside it
STEP 5 OF 8 / 11:21

Fit and tighten the new siphon and fill valve

Place the siphon into the toilet tank and tighten it by hand, then finish with the wrench. Seat the fill valve in its housing and tighten it by hand so both parts are firm, using the flashlight and screwdriver as needed.

tools: wrench, screwdriver, flashlight parts: sealed → open

What you receive

A step-by-step guide and a labelled film of the whole job.

The step-by-step guide

One 18 minute plumbing job became this 8 step guide. Each step has a title, plain instructions, the tools, and a photo or clip from the footage. Three of the steps, exactly as delivered:

Step frame: removing the fill valve from the toilet tank
Remove the fill valve and unpack the new siphon
STEP 4 / tools: wrench, pliers, rag, flashlight
Refit the tank onto the toilet
STEP 6 / clip from the footage
Final-tighten and set the toilet against the wall
STEP 8 / clip from the footage

The labelled film

The film shows the whole job with every action and every step named on screen as it happens, which suits a new hire who learns by watching.

  • 01The guide, as a document you can print or open on a phone
  • 02The labelled film of the full job
  • 03The data behind both, if your systems want it

Any trade

Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, framing and bricklaying so far, with no per-trade setup.

Nothing is tuned per trade. Every label you see below was placed by the system on footage it had never seen before.

Plumbing

Toilet strip-out and rebuild.

HVAC

Humidifier install in an above-ceiling plenum.

Electrical

Rough-in boxes and wiring.

Framing

First walls on a house build.

Under the guide

Every step is backed by what the camera saw.

Each three seconds of footage becomes one record: the action, the part, the tool, what each hand did, what was touched, and what changed. The guide is written from these records, so nothing in it is invented. If your training or automation systems want the records themselves, they are yours.

Pilot

Put a camera on your best tech and we do the rest.

A pilot needs one head camera and one day of footage. You get the guide and the film within the week.
